A team you know
Dr Melissa Acreman is committed to being present for your delivery whenever possible, ensuring continuity of care during this special time.
In the rare event that she is unavailable, Dr Mel shares on-call duties with trusted colleagues, Dr Robert North and Dr Benjamin Stokes. You will meet both Dr Rob and Dr Ben during your pregnancy, so you can be confident that you will know your obstetrician at the time of your birth. Your care team will work together to provide the best possible experience for you and your baby.
You will also be cared for by a close team of midwives, nurses and allied health staff. We believe this small team approach enable us to provide continuity of care that is essential to great clinical outcomes and a positive birthing experience.
Dr Mel believes in tailoring your pregnancy and birthing plan to your unique needs. She supports natural physiology where safe to do so, and reserves intervention for only when it is truly needed and of course only with your consent.
Dr Mel delivers at the beautiful Buderim Private Hospital, located just 10 minutes from the Coastal O&G clinic in Cotton Tree. All of their rooms feature double beds and private ensuites. Buderim Hospital has a special care nursery that looks after babies from 32 weeks of gestation.
